TikSwoop

Privacy

No account, no ad tech, no third-party scripts. This page explains the little the server does record and why.

What the server records

When you submit a link, the server records the TikTok post ID, the outcome (ready, unavailable, rate-limited, failed), the latency and the kind of file requested. It records the IP address in a short-lived operational log and in a rate-limit counter. It does not record your name, email address or TikTok identity, because it never asks for them.

The site loads no analytics, no advertising script, no social embed and no third-party font. Icons are inline SVG. A request to this site does not create a request to another company's server.

Media URLs and files

TikTok returns a signed media URL that expires quickly. We hold it only long enough to stream the file and keep a cache copy for at most an hour. We do not write it to the database, the HTML, the client JavaScript or a long-lived log. We store the video ID, not the signed link.

The file is streamed to your browser and is not published at a permanent public address. If you want to keep a copy, save it on your device.

Your choices

You can use the site without an account. If you want to avoid the IP-based rate limiter entirely, use a different network; we do not offer an identity-based exemption. If you want a record of what you downloaded, keep your own; we do not provide a history page.

For a privacy question or a request about operational logs, write to <bdi>[email protected]</bdi>. For a removal request about an indexed creator page, use the DMCA page instead.
